Samer Qudah

Samer Qudah is a Partner and Head of Corporate at Al Tamimi & Company, based in the Dubai International Financial Centre. He joined the firm in 1999 and has been a partner since 2007. His practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions.

Samer served as Managing Partner of the firm, with overall responsibility for its 17 offices in 10 countries in the MENA region, for 4 years from January 2020. Now as a Senior Corporate Partner and Head of Corporate, he maintains a corporate practice consisting of a diverse team of over 180 lawyers spread across the firm's regional offices.

He has extensive experience of over two decades in structuring and restructuring businesses for clients operating throughout the Gulf and the broader Middle East region, and has wide-ranging experience advising major blue-chip organisations, financial institutions, government and semi-government concerns, SMEs, private equity funds, FMCGs and TMT companies on a wide range of issues, including M&A, due diligence, joint ventures, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, agency law issues, regulatory and other corporate law-related issues.

On the legislative side, Samer has been involved in the enactment of several local and federal laws and has led the legislative developments of the laws of free zones and special economic zones across the GCC.

He is recognised globally in leading legal directories, including IFLR, Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. He was recognised by Who's Who Legal as a Thought Leader in the category of Firm Management and is listed in the Legal 500 EMEA "Hall of Fame" in the field of Commercial, Corporate and M&A. He received multiple awards including M&A & Corporate Lawyer of the Year in 2022 and Managing Partner of the Year in 2023 by Legal Era Middle East, the Regional Managing Partner of the Year by the LAW Finest Legal Awards, and the Managing Partner of the Year by Legal 500 MENA Awards 2024.

He holds an LLM from the University of Aberdeen (1997) and an LLB from the University of Jordan (1995), and was admitted to the Jordanian Bar Association in 1998. He is a member of many associations including the Jordanian Bar Association and the International Bar Association, and speaks Arabic and English.
