Dimitriy Mednikov

Dimitriy Mednikov is an Associate at Habib Al Mulla, based in the United Arab Emirates. He is an experienced disputes lawyer, and his practice focuses on Arbitration and Mediation.

He specialises in commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation. Over the past 8 years (6 of which were focused on commercial dispute resolution), he has worked on a wide range of contentious matters across Russia, Cyprus and the UAE.

His experience includes handling general corporate and commercial disputes, as well as complex and evidence-heavy construction and IT arbitrations under the SCC, LCIA, ICC, HKIAC and DIAC arbitration rules.

Dimitriy has also represented clients in proceedings before the DIFC Courts and ADGM Courts. His expertise extends to the enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards in the onshore courts of the UAE, securing interim relief, and defending white-collar criminal proceedings.

He holds a Master's degree in Law of International Trade, Finance and Economic Integration from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and a Bachelor's degree from the Russian State University of Justice (Moscow). He is admitted in Russia, DIFC Courts (Part 1) and the AIFC Court, with admission to England and Wales expected in Q3 2024. He speaks English, Russian and German.
