Nick Simpson

Nick Simpson is a Partner at Dentons, serving as the regional head of corporate and hospitality and leisure for the Middle East, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He is based in Dubai and has more than 25 years of experience advising on corporate and commercial transactions across the MENA region, including company establishment, M&A, joint ventures, and company flotations and offerings.

Nick has advised the Ministry of Investment (MISA) on seven of twelve economic support deals forming part of Saudi Arabia's Shareek Program, with an aggregate project value of US$51 billion. He advised The Helicopter Company (a Public Investment Fund subsidiary) on a cross‑border acquisition of 51% of Rotortrade's helicopter distribution business; Air Products on its acquisition of the industrial gases business of Muscat Gases Co SAOG; and BankDhofar SAOG on three rights issues. He also advised Madinat Al Irfan on its joint venture with Majid Al Futtaim for a US$13 billion mixed‑use development in Oman; Veolia as local KSA counsel on its merger with Suez; and the French government on its joint venture with the Royal Commission for Al Ula. He also advises extensively on hospitality and leisure transactions across the Middle East, including for Mandarin Oriental, DAMAC International, and the Saudi Cinema Company.

He holds a B.A. from the University of Leicester (1995) and completed his LPC at the College of Law, Chester (1996). He is a Solicitor of England and Wales and also a Solicitor of New South Wales, Australia.
