Joe Carroll

Joe Carroll is a Counsel at Dentons in Dubai, specializing in Real Estate Law. He is a member of the Real Estate and Hospitality and Leisure practices, with more than 19 years of experience in hospitality and real estate transactions, including development and finance, sales and acquisitions, management and franchise, and landlord and tenant matters.

Joe has advised on numerous landmark transactions across the Middle East, including advising Oman Investment Authority on the sale of Riyadh Avenue Mall; advising DMCC on the structuring and financing of the Uptown Dubai project, including the hotel management agreement for the five‑star SO/Uptown Dubai; advising SHUAA Capital PSC on the agreements appointing St Regis as manager of a luxury residences project at 1 Palace Street in London; advising Majid Al Futtaim on standard form lease and concession documents for malls across the Middle East; advising ZonesCorp on standard form leases and negotiations for industrial and worker accommodation premises in Abu Dhabi; and advising Tabreed on its purchase of Aldar Properties' district cooling assets on Saadiyat Island, one of the UAE's largest deals of 2020.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Manchester (2001) and completed his LPC at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University (2003). He qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2006.
