Hasan ElShafiey

Hasan ElShafiey is a Partner in the Dubai office, practicing in the firm's Arbitration and Mediation and Dispute Resolution practice. He is a bilingual qualified lawyer and arbitrator with over nineteen years of experience in international arbitration, complex litigation, and cross-border transactions, representing multinational corporations, government entities, leading contractors, and major developers across the Middle East.

He has acted on major international arbitrations under ICC, DIAC, LCIA, QICCA, and SCCA rules, as well as ad-hoc proceedings, and frequently advises clients on dispute strategy, risk mitigation, and front-end project documentation. He is also appointed as arbitrator in regional disputes involving construction, energy, and real estate. His practice spans construction, energy, infrastructure, real estate, ESG, insurance, and investment disputes.

Hasan holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the University of London (2020), a Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London (2018), a Postgraduate Diploma in Sharia Law from Alexandria University (2007), and an LL.B. from Alexandria University (2004). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Society of Construction Law, and the Egyptian Bar Association, and is an accredited arbitrator at DIAC and SCCA.
