Pallavi Satpute

Pallavi Satpute is a Senior Associate with about 10 years of transactional and advisory experience working on a broad range of non-contentious corporate matters across various sectors. Her primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions, particularly in connection with foreign investment into India.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, she worked as a Counsel with AZB & Partners, Mumbai, one of the premier law firms in India. Her particular strength is her ability to negotiate and draft transactional agreements and provide advice on mergers and acquisitions, and she has worked with a wide range of listed and unlisted international clients on transactional work.

Her recent experience includes advising Nord Anglia Education on Swiss International Scientific School Dubai joining its global family of schools, advising a fund on its exit from a strategic partnership with a leading premium British curriculum school in Dubai, and advising GK 12 Education / Global Schools Group on Emirates American School Sharjah joining its global family of schools. She has also represented Steve Madden on establishing its presence in the GCC region and entering into a joint venture with the Apparel group, and PATYKA, a French organic cosmetics company, on establishing its presence in the GCC region and entering into a joint venture with the Chalhoub group.

Other matters include representing Accenture Inc. on its acquisition of Bridgei2i (India), adding 800 employees to Accenture's applied intelligence, and representing TATA Consultancy Services on strategic offshore joint ventures with Mitsubishi (Japan), General Electric (Saudi Arabia) and General Motors (India), and on strategic offshore acquisitions such as W12 Studios (London) and Bridgepoint (USA).

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai and was admitted as a Solicitor to the Bombay Incorporated Law Society in 2011. She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and basic Japanese.
