Alwyn Mathew

Alwyn Mathew is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial practice at Dentons in Abu Dhabi, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises on corporate structuring and restructuring, corporate governance, joint ventures, liquidations, and local regulatory issues, with more than 10 years of experience, including eight years in the UAE.

Alwyn has advised on M&A transactions across a wide range of sectors, including medical, financial services, infrastructure, FMCG, insurance, and oil and gas. He has advised underwriters on UAE law aspects in relation to the listing of a social media app on the New York Stock Exchange, and regularly advises on shareholder disputes and corporate governance matters. He also has experience in banking and project finance, advising on IPPs and IWPPs in the infrastructure sector, including lender‑related advice, procurer concerns, and board and operational matters.

Alwyn holds an LL.B from Symbiosis Law School (2013) and a Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws.
