Alex Agababian

Alex Agababian is a Commercial Associate based in Bird & Bird's UAE offices. His practice focuses on Intellectual Property Law, specialising in IP matters pertaining in particular to the Gulf region.

He has broad commercial and corporate experience acquired during tenures within international law firms and in-house legal departments in both the private and public sectors.

He has extensive transactional experience, having worked on M&A and Venture Capital transactions and franchising arrangements within international law firms and more recently in-house, advising pre-eminent cultural institutions in the UAE on the acquisitions and loaning of fine art and natural history, intellectual property licensing, procurement contracts and distribution agreements.

He has also advised public sector institutions within the UAE on matters concerning live entertainment events and flagship partnership agreements with renowned international sports and luxury brands.
