Raka Roy

Raka Roy is a Partner and Head of the IP and Data Protection practice at Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants, based in the Dubai office, practicing in Intellectual Property Law. She brings over 16 years of experience in IP auditing, prosecution, brand clearance and opposition, anti-counterfeiting, and contentious IP matters, advising clients across fashion, FMCG, real estate, retail, and automotive sectors.

Ms. Roy also advises on commercial IP issues, including advertisement compliance, consumer protection, product warranties, social media terms, privacy, and data protection. She is a member of the INTA Leadership Program and a committee member of INTA's Unfair Competition Committee representing the Middle East and Africa. She is registered as a patent agent with the Indian Patent Office and holds a Bachelor of Commerce. She has completed specialized courses in Patents, Copyright, and E-commerce from WIPO in Geneva.

She holds an LLB from the Faculty of Law, Calcutta University (2000) and a Bachelor of Commerce from Annamalai University, India (2001). She is qualified to practice in India and is fluent in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
