Shani Salim

Shani Salim is a Partner in the firm's Dispute Resolution and Commercial practice, based in the Dubai office. He focuses on commercial transactions, agencies, international trade, contracting, transportation, logistics, and dispute resolution, with particular expertise in maritime matters including ship arrests and release, marine insurance disputes, and maritime compliance regulations.

He works closely with the litigation team on contentious matters and represents contracting and property management companies in Dubai. His varied client list includes organisations operating in international trade, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, contracting, insurance, agency, and property management, and he routinely advises trading companies on trade and transportation laws as well as incorporating and operating in the UAE.

Shani holds an LLM from the University of Warwick and an MBL from the University of Kerala. He is qualified to practice in India, England & Wales, and the UAE, and is licensed by the Dubai Legal Affairs Department.
