Paul Jarvis

Paul Jarvis is the Chief Executive – UK and Middle East at Dentons, specializing in Banking and Finance Law. He is a member of the firm's Global Board and Global Management Committee, responsible for implementing Dentons' strategy in the UK, Ireland and Middle East region.

Paul advises international and Middle East financiers, operators, export credit agencies, equity investors, and corporates on the full spectrum of financing transactions, with a particularly strong track record in ship and aircraft finance. He has significant experience in Islamic finance, trade finance, and real estate finance, advising on English law, UAE law, ADGM law, and DIFC law transactions. He has represented major airlines, shipping, and real estate clients on complex financings, including leasing structures, large syndicated debt transactions, structured tax‑based financings, and innovative Islamic finance structures.

He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Southampton (1997) and completed his LPC at The College of Law (1999). He qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2001.

Paul is consistently recognised as a leading practitioner, ranked as an Eminent Practitioner in Banking and Finance by Chambers & Partners Global (2025, 2026) and as a Market Leader by IFLR1000 (2026). He has been ranked Band 1 in UAE Banking & Finance and UAE Shipping by Chambers Global for multiple consecutive years.
