Nisha Gupta

Nisha Gupta is an Associate in the Projects practice at Dentons in Abu Dhabi, specializing in Infrastructure Law. She advises sponsors, lenders, and developers on the structuring, development, and financing of major energy, infrastructure, and transport projects across the Middle East, covering renewable and conventional energy, district cooling, waste treatment, oil and gas, and social infrastructure.

Nisha has advised on numerous significant transactions, including the US$3 billion project financing of the Hafeet Rail project, the GCC's first cross‑border rail project; advising Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) on the successful financial close of the 1,800MW DEWA Phase VI solar IPP in Dubai (awarded Renewable Energy Deal of the Year at IJGlobal Awards 2023); advising a consortium comprising EDF Renouvelables, SPIC, and Etihad Water and Electricity on its bid for five solar PV plants across Saudi Arabia; advising on the strategic acquisition of a 60% stake in Metito Utilities Limited; and advising the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company (Tadweer) on its proposed investment in Egypt's first waste‑to‑energy project, requiring more than US$120 million in investments. She also advises on district cooling projects and operations and maintenance agreements for major developments.

She holds a BBA, LL.B (Hons) from National Law University, Jodhpur (2022) and was admitted as an Advocate in India in 2024.
