Kanishka Singh

Kanishka Singh is a Partner in the Projects practice at Dentons UK, Ireland and Middle East, based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in Infrastructure Law. He advises on a diverse range of energy and infrastructure projects, including renewables (solar/wind), desalination, conventional energy, waste management, waste‑to‑energy, district cooling, rolling stock, and civil engineering projects.

Kanishka has extensive experience in PPP/PFI transactions, having served as Head of Legal at Veolia Middle East. Notable matters include advising on SPPC's Round 5 and Round 6 solar and wind IPPs in Saudi Arabia; advising Masdar and EDF Renewables on the successful financial close of the 1,800MW DEWA Phase VI solar IPP (Renewable Energy Deal of the Year at the IJGlobal Awards 2023); advising an EDF‑led consortium on the financial close of landmark 1.4 GW solar projects in Saudi Arabia; advising Veolia on the acquisition of ADNOC Refining's hazardous waste treatment assets; advising Tabreed on the purchase of district cooling assets on Saadiyat Island and on district cooling projects in India and Egypt; and advising on the Hafeet Rail project, the GCC's first cross‑border rail project. He also has deep experience in construction under EPC, Design and Construct, and FIDIC contracts.

He holds an LL.B BA Hons from Nalsar University of Law (2011) and has completed certificate courses in Oil & Gas Operations and Markets from Duke University and in Financing and Investing in Infrastructure from Bocconi University. He is admitted as an Advocate in India (2011), a Registered Legal Consultant in Dubai (2014), and registered as a Solicitor in England and Wales (2023).
