Mohammed R Alsuwaidi

Mohammed R Alsuwaidi is the Founding and Managing Partner of Alsuwaidi & Company. His practice focuses on Arbitration and Mediation, and he is a dispute resolution lawyer specialising in arbitration.

Prior to founding Alsuwaidi & Company, Mohammed was the Head of Legal at Emirates General Petroleum Corporation. Over the past two decades, he has built an enviable arbitration practice, supporting reputable names in the GCC and beyond. He is a prominent professional in UAE law and has been called upon as a UAE law expert on numerous international arbitrations, having been appointed as an arbitrator on more than 100 arbitrations to date.

His commitment to the legal industry has been strong throughout his career. He was Vice Chairman of the Jurist Association in the UAE, President of the Organization of Young Arab Lawyers, Deputy Chairman of the UAE Jurists Association and a former Board Member of the Human Rights Association in the UAE. Today, Mohammed holds numerous memberships with established international arbitration associations and is a licensed arbitrator at the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration.

He also serves as Director of the Lawyers Affairs Department at the Emirates Bar & Legal Association, Vice President of the Dubai Swiss Business Council, and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ajman Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre. He holds an LLM from Boston University, an LLB from UAE University and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Salerno in Italy. He was admitted to all Courts of the UAE in 1986 and founded Alsuwaidi and Company in 1996. He is fluent in both Arabic and English.
