Georges Daoud

Georges Daoud is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Practice at Al Tamimi & Company, based in Abu Dhabi. His practice focuses on Corporate Law.

Georges is a qualified lawyer with an emphasis on corporate law, and has a particular interest in the corporate restructuring scheme of major local and international companies seeking to enter the UAE market or to amend the existing structure of entities in different practices such as trading, banking, health, shipping, manufacturing, information technology, contracting and engineering consultancy.

His particular expertise is in advising major international companies on the ideal legal structure for setting up their operations in the UAE. He has assisted clients in drafting corporate agreements including Memorandums of Association, Nominee Agreements, Companies Resolutions, Powers of Attorney and Share Transfer Agreements. This involves negotiating and liaising with the local authorities to ensure that clients have the legal form that convenes their structure and the commercial activities that cater to their needs and comply with local regulations.

His recent experience includes advising Richemont Group on the legal structure and procedure for the incorporation in Abu Dhabi of 12 boutiques for 12 different jewellery brands, advising Constructor San Jose SA on the documentation and requirements for setting up their branch office in Abu Dhabi, advising DEHOCO AG on the set-up process of a limited liability company in Abu Dhabi to undertake shipping activities, and advising MBC Group on the legal structure and procedure for the incorporation of a subsidiary in the Free Zone Media Authority.

He holds an MBA and a Maîtrise en Droit from Saint Joseph University, and was admitted to the Beirut Bar Association in 2001. He speaks Arabic, English and French.
