Abdulmajeed Ahmed Alsweedy

Abdulmajeed Ahmed Alsweedy is Senior Counsel in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice, based in the Dubai office. He has a wide range of experience in commercial, construction and infrastructure, corporate, real estate and property, and criminal law, and is well-versed in all stages of court litigation.

Mr. Alsweedy has demonstrated his expertise in defending clients in complex money laundering cases, including representing a prominent businessman in disputes related to fraud and forgery against several banks and finance companies with a total dispute value exceeding AED 6.5 billion. He has also successfully defended a client in a criminal case related to fraud and breach of trust against one of the biggest companies in the Gulf. He also serves as a lecturer at the Legal Affairs Department of Dubai.

He holds an LL.B. from Alexandria University, Egypt (2004), a Diploma in Public Law (2004), and an LL.M. in Criminal Law from Alexandria University (2006). He is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and is licensed by the Dubai Legal Affairs Department.
