Sahar Tarhini

Sahar Tarhini is an Associate based in Bird & Bird's UAE offices. She is part of the Intellectual Property team, with extensive experience in all aspects of brand protection and portfolio management in the UAE, MENA region and internationally. Her practice focuses on Trademark Law.

She has nearly 12 years' experience and qualified as a UK Solicitor in 2022. Her experience covers trade mark prosecution, including portfolio management, mini IP audits and gap analysis, assisting brand owners to implement global brand clearance and filing strategies, in addition to handling oppositions and appeals.

She also advises clients on the protection and enforcement of their trade mark rights, including preparing cease and desist letters, filing complaints, coordinating investigations, coordinating and attending raids with the administrative authorities against infringers, conducting trainings to officials on behalf of brand owners and processing all associated legal documentation.

She has advised and assisted numerous clients across a range of industries including aviation, fashion, retail, entertainment, restaurants, cosmetics, real estate, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications in their worldwide filing programmes.

She is fluent in English and Arabic. She is recognised as a Leading Associate for Intellectual Property (United Arab Emirates) by Legal 500 EMEA 2026, as Rising Star of the Year (United Arab Emirates) at the Managing IP EMEA Awards 2025, and as a Rising Star (United Arab Emirates) by IP Stars.
