Reda Hegazy

Reda Hegazy is a Partner and Head of the Litigation Practice Group at Alsuwaidi & Company. His practice focuses on Dispute Resolution, covering civil, commercial, criminal and labour litigation as well as complex arbitration proceedings.

With over three decades of experience advising and representing clients across the UAE, Reda is widely recognised for his expertise in maritime, construction (including mega projects), real estate, insurance and intellectual property disputes. He leads high-value and multi-jurisdictional matters involving commercial, construction, employment, medical negligence, maritime and real estate disputes, delivering strategic advocacy before UAE courts and arbitral tribunals.

Throughout his career, Reda has served as a legal advisor to several government and quasi-government entities in the UAE. Notably, he was a member of the legal committee involved in drafting federal housing legislation, reflecting his contribution to the development of the UAE's legal framework. He is frequently sought after by regional legal publications and professional platforms for expert commentary on contentious matters.

Reda holds a Bachelor of Law from Mansoura University, Egypt, and obtained a further diploma in Contracts in 2013. He is a listed Legal Consultant in the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, a Member of the DIAC 40 Young Practitioners Group, and a certified arbitrator and member of the International Commercial Arbitration Centre (ICAA) in Sharjah (Tahkeem). He is fluent in both Arabic and English, and is recognised by The Legal 500 as a Key Lawyer in Dispute Resolution.
