Mahmoud Homidat

Mahmoud Homidat is a Senior Associate in the Litigation practice at Al Tamimi & Company, based in Abu Dhabi. He joined the firm in 2000 and his practice focuses on Dispute Resolution.

Mahmoud has vast experience in setting up foreign and local companies and different corporate structures in the UAE. His experience includes limited liability companies, private joint stock companies, branches of foreign companies and restructuring group companies.

He also provides professional legal assistance, advice and counsel on restructuring legal entities and group companies, in addition to advising a wide range of clients with group family businesses. Mahmoud led the restructuring of a big family group in Abu Dhabi.

Mahmoud has vast experience in drafting contracts involving leases, licences, purchases, sales, employment and other matters. He also works on litigation cases, especially stock market issues and disputes between brokerage companies and their investors.

His recent experience includes representing Aldar, a leading master developer in Abu Dhabi, in multiple litigation cases before the Abu Dhabi Rent Committee in relation to property disputes; representing Safwan Technologies, a leading Kuwaiti company, in multiple litigation cases before the Abu Dhabi Rent Committee in relation to investment disputes; representing a leading bank in Abu Dhabi in litigation cases before the Abu Dhabi Rent Committee in relation to loans and credit card disputes; and advising many clients in various litigation matters, such as liquidation disputes, commercial and investment disputes, specialising in company issues.

He holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Jordan (1996) and speaks Arabic and English.
