Divya Abrol Gambhir

Divya Abrol Gambhir is a Partner in the firm's Banking and Finance Law practice, based in the Dubai office. She heads the firm's financial regulatory and securities practice in the UAE, with extensive experience in regulatory compliance, private banking, structured finance, capital markets, and corporate banking advisory.

She has advised on a unique diamond securitization involving the issuance of secured notes backed by inventories across 20 countries, acted for Bank of Singapore on the transfer of its operations to the DIFC and its acquisition of Barclays' wealth business, and advised Lloyds Bank on the sale of its UAE portfolio to HSBC. She was seconded to the Dubai International Financial Exchange (now Nasdaq Dubai) in 2005, where she was involved in the legal aspects of setting up the exchange.

Divya holds an LLB and a B.Com in Financial Accounting and Auditing from the University of Mumbai (1999, 1996), and was admitted to the Bar Council of Maharashtra, India in 1999.
