Ariadni Glavani

Ariadni Glavani is an Associate in the Transport & Insurance practice, specializing in asset finance and maritime transactions. Her primary practice area is Maritime Law, with experience advising on ship finance structures, cross-border financing arrangements and ship sale and purchases.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, she trained and worked at Watson, Farley & Williams in Athens, where she assisted on a significant number of asset finance transactions, including loan facilities, sale and leaseback structures and Islamic financing arrangements. Her work focused on drafting and reviewing finance documentation, coordinating security registrations and advising on the perfection of securities, particularly in shipping-related transactions.

She supports shipowners, financial institutions and corporate clients on both transactional and advisory matters, with particular experience in ship sale and purchase transactions, mortgage registrations and financing structures. She works closely with lenders and borrowers to ensure efficient transaction execution and commercially aligned outcomes.

Her recent experience includes drafting and reviewing loan documentation, security documentation and registration documents in ship finance transactions, advising on the perfection and enforcement of securities in loan facilities, sale and leaseback transactions and Islamic finance structures, and coordinating transaction closings including mortgage registrations, mortgage discharges and vessel deliveries. She has also supported lessors in aviation sale and purchases and novations, and acted for shipowners in ship sale and purchase transactions.

She holds a Legal Practice Course (Commendation) from BPP University, London (2023) and an LLB Law (2:1) from King's College London (2022). She speaks English, Greek, French, Spanish and Arabic.
