Ali Al Bitar

Ali Al Bitar is an Associate at Al Tamimi & Company in Abu Dhabi, focusing on Commercial Litigation. He is a bilingual dispute resolution associate with experience in commercial and construction disputes before the offshore and onshore courts.

His responsibilities include drafting legal submissions in Arabic and English and advising clients on contentious and non-contentious matters.

Before relocating to Abu Dhabi, Ali practised law in a reputable regional law firm in Jordan and in a law firm in Dubai. He was recognised for the first time as a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500 EMEA 2025 for Jordan under the category of Dispute Resolution.

His recent experience includes securing favourable outcomes in complex construction disputes for international contractors and developers; recovering substantial monetary claims for financial institutions and corporate clients in multi-jurisdictional proceedings; acting for a major airport operator in a complex construction arbitration seated in Amman; representing an international automotive distributor in CIETAC arbitration proceedings against a Chinese manufacturer; managing enforcement proceedings for a US$500+ million arbitration award across multiple jurisdictions for a Libyan construction company; and securing a landmark victory in the first-ever Cape Town Convention aircraft engine repossession case in Jordan.

He also led a pioneering anti-piracy action representing major international media companies, developing new strategies for IP protection in the digital age. Ali holds an LLB (Honours) from Swansea University (2020) and was licensed as an Advocate with the Jordan Bar Association in 2025. He is currently preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination and speaks Arabic and English.
