Hussain Al Zarooni

Hussain Al Zarooni is the Head of Litigation – Northern Emirates at Al Tamimi & Company, focusing on Commercial Litigation. He has over 20 years of experience advising on litigation, dispute resolution, and legal matters across the United Arab Emirates.

A UAE-qualified advocate, Hussain holds full rights of audience before all UAE courts, including the Courts of Cassation and the Federal Supreme Court. He represents clients in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, appearing before courts at all levels, and is particularly experienced in complex and high-value matters where he provides strategic direction, manages proceedings, and delivers commercially focused and pragmatic solutions.

Prior to rejoining Al Tamimi & Company, Hussain served as Legal Advisor and Head of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he led the legal function and supervised multiple divisions, advising on governmental, regulatory and strategic matters. His experience includes drafting legislation, contributing to institutional decision-making, and serving on legislative committees, and he played a key role in supporting UAE diplomatic missions by overseeing and managing their legal affairs.

Hussain previously worked at Al Tamimi & Company as a Senior Litigation Lawyer and Private Notary, where he represented clients in complex disputes and oversaw the notarisation and preparation of a wide range of legal instruments. Earlier in his career, he held legal positions at the Dubai Chamber and the Ministry of Interior, strengthening his expertise across both public and private sector legal frameworks.

He is also a registered arbitrator with the Ras Al Khaimah Mediation and Arbitration Centre, with experience in commercial, construction and real estate disputes. He speaks Arabic and English.
