Anuj Bhasin

Anuj Bhasin is a Senior Associate and an Indian qualified lawyer with over 11 years of experience in direct and indirect tax. He is a member of the Tax Team. His primary practice area is Tax Advisory Law. Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, he was working at a leading tax law firm in New Delhi, India.

He specialises in tax advisory, tax structuring, tax litigation and tax compliance. He has in-depth knowledge and experience across all taxes, including VAT, corporate and personal income tax, withholding tax, economic substance rules and double taxation treaties.

His recent experience includes advising multiple clients on VAT implementation in the UAE, Bahrain, KSA and Oman; advising multiple clients on Corporate Tax implementation in the UAE; advising a renowned retail luxury group on the VAT implications of various transactions; advising a leading bus manufacturer on the VAT implications of a complex transaction; and assisting a renowned real estate group in tax re-structuring.

He has also advised a world-leading e-commerce company on the tax implications of various transactions; assisted multiple clients in reviewing, preparing and filing VAT returns; assisted clients in preparing and filing ESR notifications and reports; and advised a public sector undertaking on the GST implementation in India.

He holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from the University of Pune (2013) and a Bachelor of Social Legal Sciences from the University of Pune (2011). He was admitted as an Advocate to the Bar Council of Delhi in 2013 and speaks English and Hindi.
