Ameen Kim

Ameen Kim is a US-qualified Associate in the Transport & Insurance department at Al Tamimi & Company. Her primary practice area is Aviation Law, with a practice focused primarily on contentious and non-contentious aviation matters representing aircraft owners and major airlines, as well as in-land transport matters concerning autonomous electric vehicles and the federal railway.

She additionally has experience advising foreign firms and governmental bodies on GCC customs and trade matters.

Her recent experience includes continuing advice for major UAE and foreign airlines in respect of passenger claims, baggage claims, consignment claims and general advisory work; advising a UAE airport company in a claim regarding the removal of chattel on airport grounds; providing advisory assistance to a major UK airline in recommencing flights to the UAE; and assisting VIP individuals in the purchase and sale of private jets.

She has also advised a major Chinese transport company on the operation of autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles in the UAE, and contributed to advising a UK government department in conducting trade analysis for the GCC region.

She holds an LL.M. from Regent University School of Law (2020), a J.D. from Handong International Law School (2020) and a Bachelor of History from Houghton College (2017). She was admitted as an Attorney at Law to the Washington D.C. Bar in 2021 and speaks English and Korean.
